FEAR?!

I was talking to a friend this weekend and he stated that he had read this book which had a great message about fear. One big message in this book was, when faced with a life decision that brings you fear  – you should run straight toward the fear and adress it head on!

Since I am a closet thinker it wasn’t untill later in the day when this concept really spoke to my life. In my processing I thought that is EXACTLY what we should do with fearful situations. As soon as we allow fear to stop us from a situation it’s giving the enemy a foothold on us. Now let me clarify I am not talking about ‘jumping off a cliff’ situation that is natural fear. I am talking about spiritual fear. Situations where the Lord is leading us to do something and we don’t do it because we allow the fear to stop us.

As he continued to talk about running to fear he mentioned David and Goliath. How David stood right up to Goliath and KNEW with God on HIS side nothing would win against God.  Yes, how many times have we heard that story – yet it still rings true in our lifes.

Running toward Fear – that may just be my new anthem!!

$6,000 to go!!

Hi friends!

I have been on the go weekly jumping at every open door to share my heart to serve. I am excited, scared, and nervous all at the same time to hear it wont be long untill I can go.

It is so clear that God has been guiding my steps and providing daily for my physical needs. I am truly humbled by so many people who have and continue to give financially to this mission.

Please be in prayer with me for this $6,000. That is the amount I still need to go – (but when I am there if I receive more than I can stay longer.)

Continuing toward the goal!!!

Heather

You Can’t take back the SEND button.

It takes less than a second to hit the “send” button. Depending on the situation  it can be an easy or an hard choice. Today there was hesitation but with any new door you’ve got to walk through it. I’ve ordered a lot of cd’s declaring along with Carrie Underwood,  Jesus take the wheel! I am beyond excited to share this new flood of songs with you and hopefully the rest of the world.

They should arrive in early May!!

Excited to share this new journey with you!

And a quick shout out to all that have come with me since January 2009 – you rock!

Concert in Springfield, MO

Hey Friends!! I am so excited that doors have opened for me to do a concert when I travel to Springfield, MO in May. I am very excited to share the new music that I have been writing and sell my new cd!! Please help spread the word – and I hope TO SEE YOU THERE :)

NEW CD RELEASE MAY 2011

I am very excited to announce a new CD coming in May. I start recording this month and am very eager to share the new songs I’ve been writting.

This will be a cd of songs I have written about Missions. It answers the questions why go…why care….and why sacrifice.

New Year = New Goals

Lots of new goals to reach this year! The largest one: to be working in Paris by AUGUST!
I have raised the bulk of my cash budget and now working on Monthly Pledges.
Today alone I have called 20 churches and so far booked 4 services!! Praise the Lord!

If you want to check out The Bridge Church website you can go to www.thebridgeparis.com

Today I realized after sending out 198 letters that I gave the wrong web address AND either because of the wind or my iPhone provider I have had 20 or so dropped calls…on Pastors. So, if you are reading this and I have hung up on you – please know it was an accident.

Budgetwise I am in need of $2,990 in monthly pledges for two years. Once I’ve raised that I’m set to apply for my visa.

I can’t help but feel the excitement of being able to serve some incredible Missionaries doing some incredible things!!

rummage…and more rummage.

I survived the weekend!

I tried to sell all my belongings and what people donated in a rummage sale. It went really well!!! I have so many people to thank for their generosity!!! You know who you are and you are a BLESSING! I truly believe God’s favor was all over this sale…yes, this could sound silly but we have been covering this rummage sale in prayer for weeks and it was such a success.

My next journey is this weekend traveling to New Holstein, WI. Please be in prayer for safe travels and Holy Spirit to pour in the service.

Abbostford, WI

3.5 hours north of my home is a town called Abbotsford. There I spoke at North Ridge Church. Passion to reach the community & the world would sum up the desire of their Pastor. I know I wasn’t the only one who left inspired & encouraged to be a part of God’s Army.

As I was driving home after being taken out to lunch with some wonderful church members I couldn’t help but think “How awesome the Body of  Christ is” ..Let me expand on this thought:

Body of Christ Cool point #1: As I travel to different churches.  It never seems awkward talking with people I have never met before.  We hold a connection – a bond and that is Christ. While conversing with many new people I felt as though I had known them like a brother or sister. Sure, I didn’t know them personally but again having Christ in our lives created connection.

Body of Christ Cool Point #2: It doesn’t matter the size of the congregation!  It amazes me that when a need is presented the people take action. You would think speaking to a smaller congregation the giving would be small and when speaking to a large congregation the giving would be large.  That isn’t the case. When everyone gives a little it makes a HUGE impact….it takes giving hearts.

I will always and forever be a giver..even if I have little for the rest of my life.
